SMART BUILDER PROGRESS

Hype up for Smart Builder, this is the continued part of smart builder and also my progressing on the courseware.

So basically my friends and I have decided to do a lesson for year 3 students where we will use animals in the farm as our theme in the courseware, we will ask the name, sounds and how to spell them correctly. At first, it was a disaster as our command for the game has gone chaos and miss put but eventually we manage to overcome the problems.

Test week !



There is nothing interesting this week. Just we have a test ! I need to do some revision to recall back what we had done in class for past weeks. Pray for me that i can answer the test successfully :)

My last Assignment for Internet Technology for Language


SmartBuilder is an app that allow you to create your own courseware unto activities and games to allow more interesting teaching materials based on your own syllabus. At first I was quite confused on how to use the app because it looked like and old editing software but likewise, I manage to use it to create the courseware that my friends and I plan to create.


A group consist of three people are form and we are going to discuss of what should we put in the courseware, later in the next blog I will update the flow. Stay tune guys

POWTOON

I would like to tell you about POWTOON , What is Powtoon? How to use it and why should you use it. So basically I learn about Powtoon way back then in my diploma years as tools for presentation.

Actually, Powtoon is a tool that help you to improve your presentation with quite a interactive information delivers to your audience. By using Powtoon, you can actually make a short movie along with interactive clips to attract your audience.

I recommend you guys to check out more about powtoon if you want to attract more audience to listen to your presentation.

PODCAST

What is PODCAST?

A podcast is an audio and/or video file‘broadcast’ via the Internet.

Can be downloaded to a computer or mobile device ( e.g. MP3 player).

Term ‘podcast’ comes from iPod (Apple portable MP3 player) and ‘broadcast’.

Advantages of podcast : 1) Self study
                                        2) Listening in class
                                        3) Encourage students to find a podcast that interests them and to listen                                               regularly (subscribe to podcast using e.g. iTunes ‘podcatcher’)
                                        4) Variety of levels

CMC 

CMC or Computer Mediated Communication is essential for us nowadays because it is a medium for us to communicate with each other. 

What is CMC?
CMC is Whatsapp, Telegram, Messanger, BBM, Facetime, Skype and so on. CMC is actually being used in teaching in social media to reach out for students who are far away.


the benefit of CMC is;

1) Easy for individuals to engage in communication with others regardless of time or location. CMC allows for individuals to collaborate on projects that would otherwise be impossible due to such factors as geography.

2) Allowing individuals who might be intimidated due to factors like character or disabilities to participate in communication. By allowing an individual to communicate in a location of their choosing. 

3) CMC call allow a person to engage in communication with minimal stress. Making an individual comfortable through CMC also plays a role in self-disclosure, which allows a communicative partner to open up more easily and be more expressive.

4) Communicating through an electronic medium, individuals are less likely to engage in stereotyping and are less self-conscious about physical characteristics. The role that anonymity plays in online communication can also encourage some users to be less defensive and form relationships with others more rapidly.

What will happen if there is no Google, Yahoo, Bing or Mozilla?

We need to dig in lot of books to find information needed. We have to go back in time. This might scared all of us ! Actually all the Google, Yahoo, Bing and Mozilla are known as search engines. Fun fact ! Every search engines has their own database !

 So basically I can conclude that:

• Data base is where all the data or indexed web pages where stored.
• User interface is a friendly or common side/app/or page that user uses to find information.
• Web crawler is automated program or bot that crawled in search engines to find the information from the data base.
• Information retrieval system is a system used to match the user's query to indexed web pages found in data based.

What is call? For sure not the typical "HELLO HELLO" . Call is an acronym for

  COMPUTER    ASSISTED    LANGUAGE    LEARNINg

There are 3 main stages of CALL

First Week !

So today is my first class in Internet Technologies. Same classmates and nothing new. Learned new things to day which is how to setup a blog and after that i need to subscribed to main class's blog. I am now a blogger. Lol. After that ? Oh i need to find something to eat after this class. I am super hungry !
